Car boots are often a messy affair, shopping, shoes, bags, clothes, umbrella, first aid kit, the dog…anything and everything gets thrown in there. Naturally things leak, spill or create some sort of unwanted detritus along the way. This means you have to either fight with the hoover to get in all the nooks and crannies, or pull the whole boot mat out once in a while to give it a good old clean.
Well not any more, WeatherTech have a seriously smart solution to keep your boot tidy and mess free.
What is it?

A raised lip around the edge helps keep any spills within the mat, so all you need to do is lift it out to hoover, or even hose down. There’s also a wide selection of custom fit mats, hopefully you should be able to find one to fit your car.
How?
To get the perfect fit WeatherTech laser measure the boot of the desired car, that way it fits like a glove. We tried it in a Peugeot 208, their website even tells you that it’s no compatible with the JBL Audio System as it sticks out into the boot. Clever stuff.
What’s it like?
The fit truly is superb, it has the correct contours in the right places making sure it sits in snugly without moving. Over a month’s worth of fairly heavy use the mat looks just as good as the day it was put in, not a mark on it.
It’s also fairly light which means it’s easy to lift out when you need to, it saves the hassle of hoovering as you can just tip any remnants into the bin.
It may be a tad pricey at £102 plus postage for our Cargo Liner, but to save the boot floor being ruined for the life of your car it’s pretty priceless.
WeatherTech also warranty the Cargo Liner for its lifetime against any material defects or workmanship, so if there’s any issue with its construction they’ll replace it.
Sadly, as WeatherTech are mainly a U.S based company the amount on offer for older European cars is slightly limited. We checked for our 207 and there wasn’t a custom fit option, nor for a 2009 SEAT Ibiza, 2005 Renault Clio even our 2014 Peugeot RCZ was omitted form the list.
Newer cars fair far easier, the new Peugeot 508 for instance has one, so does the Hyundai Kona…the Audi Q8 though isn’t on the list.

WeatherTech sell the Cargo Liner direct from their European website, everything ships from Parma in Italy and will arrive in 3-4 days.
Postage can be a little on the high side so it’s worth buying a few items to make it worth your while.
