Volvo’s new XC90 has been given a sporty makeover with this R-Design spec, adding an aggressive exterior and up to 400bhp to the SUV.
Outside the R-Design gets a redesigned grille and a new bodykit which brings bigger air intakes, silver wwing mirrors integrated dual exhausts and big, 20-inch, five-spoke, alloys.
Inside, of which we have no pictures unfortunately, paddles arrive for the gearbox along with sports seats, leather on the steering wheel and gear knob and R-Design pedals, floor mats and illuminated tread plates.
Under the bonnet there will be a choice of Volvo’s Drive-E four cylinder powertrains which the Swedes tell us will have up to 400 bhp.
The R-Design will be based on the £45,785 Momentum model so will sit between it and the luxury Inscription spec.
Expect more details as we get closer to the launch in Spring next year.
