Volkswagen I.D. CROZZ has had its world premiere at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show.
I.D. CROZZ is a mixture of an SUV and a four-door coupe. Its design features a wide bonnet, broad wheel arches and a fully glass roof.
The lack of B-pillars allow the large doors to slide and can be opened wide.
A CleanAir system developed by Volkswagen maintained the quality of the air in the car.
The I.D. CROZZ comes with a voice assistant which can be used to open and close the doors and even activate the fully automated driving mode called ‘I.D. Pilot’.
The I.D. CROZZ will come with 4MOTION all-wheel drive. Front and rear axle are powered by a battery and torque is distributed by a ‘electric propshaft’.
225 kW model will have top speed of 112mph and capable of a range of 310 miles on one charge. The battery can be charged to 80% in 30 minutes with fast charging.
Its battery has been positioned centrally allowing driving characteristics similar to the Golf GTI. There’s also electronically controlled dampers, new multi-link rear suspension and MacPherson struts.
The Volkswagen I.D. will expand. 2020 will see an all-electric, four-door I.D launched along with the I.D. CROZZ. The I.D. BUZZ will follow in 2022.
