Swedish Ice Scraper Review
Behold, the Swedish Ice Scraper.
A solid piece of 6mm recycled acrylic with laser cut featuring diamond polished edges.
There are two blades, one angled and the other flat edged, which sits under the small neoprene cover. It also comes with a three year gaurantee, just in case.
How to use the Swedish Ice Scraper
Since it’s just one sheet of acrylic, there’s no risk of it bending, breaking, chipping, or falling apart. As with most things, simple is best.
The Swedish Ice Scraper easily sliced through the thickest frost that the -4 has to offer, two days’ worth of non-thawing ice in my initial test.
There is a small cut-out for removing frost and ice from the wiper blades, which comes in handy when you get a build-up or after snow.
The shape makes it easy to hold with one hand, whether you’re right-handed or left-handed. Put your index and middle fingers through the central hole and place your thumb under the neoprene sleeve. It allows you to hold the scraper firmly.
You can also use two hands, which is handy if you’re wearing gloves.
Oh, and don’t forget the second flat blade under the cover if the frost is extra thick. Unfortunately, you can’t put the cover on the other blade.
Where can I buy a Swedish Ice Scraper?
Depending on where you find them, they’re sold at different prices, but Amazon always has at least a few colours in stock. The version without the full case is £17.99, or £13.99 without.
It comes in five colours: yellow, black, red, blue (more white-blue than blue) and transparent. You can also choose them with or without a larger neoprene sleeve to cover the blade when not in use.
