Continental have created a tyre that is up to 9dB quieter in the cabin than a normal tyre.
The ContiSilent tyres have bonded a foam coating to the inside of the tread area after tyre production. All the modifications have been adopted from standard tyres, and there is no difference from the standard tyre characteristics.
Audi will be the first manufacturers to fit the tyres on the RS6 Avant and RS7 Sportback.
