Ahead of April’s full launch Merc have given us the spec of its new S63 Coupe AMG weapon.
Powered by a 5.5 litre V8 Biturbo it pumps out 585 HP and a massive 900 Nm of torque!
0-62 is 4.3 seconds and top speed is limited to 155 MPH.
Combined fuel economy sits at 27.9 MPG and emissions are a hefty 237 g/km.
As usual you get an AMG sports exhaust, this one though has three different modes. C (Controlled) muts the V8, S (Sport) and M (Manual) modes open the flaps earlier and more spontaneously.
All that power is tamed by the AMG Speedshift MCT 7 speed gearbox, Start stop is also fitted as standard…to help save those litres being burned in traffic!
The S63 features a world fist in a production car, Mercs new Magic Body Control will tilts the car into bends making the ride more comfortable for passengers, it works from 19 – 112 MPH.
Each suspension strut can also be adjusted independently via a new Road Surface Scan system. This helps the vehicle incline up to 2.5 degrees, it works via a camera mounted in the windscreen.
You also get the option of ceramic brakes that are 20% lighter than the standard jobbies.
