Kia have updated their flagship SUV with new sporty trim levels and new 8 speed automatic gearbox.
Kia have made seven seats as standard for the new Sorento while adding GT-Line and GT-Line S trim levels to the range.
Both feature 19” double five-spoke alloys, red brake calipers, stainless steel side steps, ice cube-style front fog lights and twin exhaust pipes. GT-Line S comes with LED headlights with a dynamic bending function.
Interior features black leather seats with light grey stitching, perforated leather-trimmed steering wheel and GT-Line design leather gear shifter.
A 8 speed auto gearbox replaces the previous 6 speed and is available in four of the seven trim levels. It comes as standard with the GT-Line and GT-Line S and is optional with KX-2 and KX-3.
The new gearbox improves economy to 43.5mpg and CO2 emissions are cut from 174g/km to 170g/km. The will also be steering wheel-mounted paddles with the GT-Line and GT-Line S.
All versions will come with a 197bhp 2.2-litre turbodiesel engine able to provide drive to all four wheels.
Manual models can accelerate from 0-60mph in 8.7 seconds and auto taking 9.1 seconds. Both can can achieve a top speed of 127mph.
All models also come with Kia’s Intelligent Stop & Go stop/start system.
Pricing starts from £28,995 with the new GT-Line starting from £36,495 and GT-Line S from £41,995.
