Today Mini Announced the JCW Countryman, a fire breathing sporty version that starts from £28,595 in the UK.

- Newly developed four-cylinder turbocharged engine
- Power output is 160 kW/218 hp; peak torque: 280 Newton metres / 207 lb-ft (with overboost: 300 Nm / 221 lb-ft)
- Twin-scroll turbocharger, petrol direct injection, fully variable valve management based on the BMW Group’s VALVETRONIC technology
- 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 7.0 seconds
- Brake Energy Regeneration, Gear Shift Indicator, Auto Start-Stop
- 6 Speed gearbox, steering wheel shift paddles available as an option
- Sports exhaust
- Sport Button tweaks the engine’s responses and vocal character
- Permanent all wheel drive, a first on the JCW
- Firmly tuned springs and dampers, strengthened anti-roll bars and a 10-millimetre drop in ride
- Extra-lightweight 18-inch Twin Spoke light-alloy wheels fitted as standard
- JCW Aerodynamic bodykit
- Seven exterior paint shades are available; contrast paint finish for the roof and exterior mirror caps can be ordered in white and black, as well as the red shade available exclusively for John Cooper Works models
- Interior is all custom to the JCW COuntryman
- Built in BMW’s Magna Steyr Fahrzeugtechnik in Graz, Austria
- Engine comes from Hams Hall engine plant, in the UK
- Production starts in November
