Sebastien Buemi took victory at the Berlin ePrix and reduced his championship deficit to Lucas di Grassi to just a single point going into the season finale rounds.
Jean-Eric Vergne of Virgin Racing started in pole position with Buemi alongside in second and Di Grassi down in 10th. The Swiss soon found himself in the lead just before the first corner.
Although later on in the first lap Vergne retook the lead of the race.
Buemi and Vergne then again swapped places on lap 6 with Buemi just about squeezing his car through.
Vergne then seem to lose his cool as he was passed by Daniel Abt. He then began a front wing diet on lap 21 due to clipping into cones on the chicane and losing an endplate.
Two laps later he completely lost it into the same chance with Nico Prost pressuring and then took the rest of his front wing off.
The pit stops began on lap 25 and it was Di Grassi’s time to gain as much from the race as he could. He came out of the pit stop ahead of Vergne.
He then found himself behind Nico Prost. He did the dummy and took third place from him on lap 40.
A few laps later, Loic Duval lost control and slammed his car into the wall.
With one lap to go, the Audi Abt team told Daniel Abt “let Lucas by he’s quicker” but it fell on deaf ears leasing to the Audi Abt garage looking puzzled and unimpressed at the same time.
Buemi took the win with Abt second and Di Grassi third.
The final two rounds will be held in London on the 2nd and 3rd of July.
