Carrying screen wash around in the car is a pain. Either you have to lug around great big 5 litre bottles, or at best 1 litre highly concentrated formula.
But you still have the issue of it possibly falling over in the boot, rolling around and leaking.
Well, Doc Vision have come up with a new idea.
What is it?
Screen wash in dry tablet form. Each little 8 gram tablet is good enough for up to 4 litres of wash. A pack of 4 will give you a total of 16 litres.
How?
All the normal additives in screen wash can be made into a soluble solid. Within a few seconds of being submerged in water the tablet dissolves.
Why?
It’s far more convenient not having to carry around a bottle of screen wash. This little pack of tablets barely takes up any room and can sit in the glove box so you are never without proper screen wash.
The amount of times I have had to use plain water because I have run out, especially in the winter! The Doc Vision tablets make perfect sense.
What’s it like?
Very handy! Just take the tablets out of their plastic wrapper, snap them in half if they are too big to fit in down the filling neck pour in plain water and by the time you get back into the car they have dissolved and you are good to go!
We managed to use one tablet for 4 litres of water and achieved really good cleaning results with it!
The only concern we would mention is that they only go down to -3 degrees, so depending on how mild/bad our winters are you still may need to top up with concentrate to stop the screen wash freezing.
Where can I get some?
Currently you can buy them direct from Doc Vision here, a pack of 4 tablets/16 litres worth will cost you £5.99 with free postage.
