Last year Detroit Electric announced the SP:01 a Lotus based all electric sports car that hits 62 in 3.7 seconds.
Recently the design has been changed to feature a new enclosed fast back. This replaces the prototypes very stayed buttress design. The new design has been optimised with computational fluid dynamics.
The new design includes a built in rear wing and underbody diffuser, these apparently help ‘on-the-limit’ road holding.
Production will start later this year in a new UK facility.
