A trophy version of the Clio Renaultsport has been revealed at the Geneva Motor Show.
The RS 220 Trophy adds to the classic sports line-up which include the 2005 Clio Renaultsport 182 Trophy and the Mégane Renaultsport 265 Trophy.
The power has been increased to 220hp in addition the 220 Trophy comes with a larger turbo, new air intake and revised exhaust system.
Even with this increase in power the RS 220 Trophy is actually more efficient as the Stop & Start system helps to reduce emissions by 6g/km.
Gear shifts are now up to 40 per cent faster in Normal and Sport mode and 50 per cent faster in Race mode. This is from a system known as R.S. Drive. This system features a launch Control and the ability to perform multiple down shifts by keeping the downshift paddle constantly held. Race mode is manual only.
Sharper styling helps to match the increased performance stats. The RS 220 Trophy features Frost White, a matt body colour with a gloss black roof and rear spoiler. 4 other colours are available. Along with this, 18-inch ‘Radical’ wheels with black inserts and diamond-effect facings with a spread of ‘Trophy’ badging around the car.
For the interior, expect an embossed leather steering wheel. Go for the ‘Trophy’ interior pack and you get heated leather sports seats, carbon-look air-vent surrounds, door handles and gear lever base plate.
Optional is a Renaultsport Monitor on-board telemetry system.
The Clio Renaultsport 220 Trophy is due to go on sale this summer.
