As of tomorrow we will be starting an epic five day road trip through Northern Europe in a Tesla Model S 100D.
We already had a P100D booked in, then received a call from Tesla. Would we like to drive to Rotterdam, as the Hilton there a box fresh Destination Charger that’s just been installed. The trip should be doable on a single full charge of a Tesla 100D.
Well, that sounds like a great story to me! So #Charge2Rotterdam was born. Performance is still pretty rapid at 4.4 seconds to 60, the only difference is the smaller rear motor in the 100D.
But seeing as we were paying for the Eurotunnel crossing, we then thought…what else can we do whilst we’re over there?
Having always wanted to visit D-Day landing sites, that was the obvious choice. But that’s a 6 hour drive from Rotterdam, and all the way back into France.
Some planning and Airbnbing later and the itinerary was decided. #EVenture was set in motion.
So here’s how the road trip is planned out.
