Volkswagen have now made the Performance Pack available for the DSG variants of the Golf R.
Looks-wise, the Performance Pack adds 19-inch ‘Spielberg’ alloys and a rear roof spoiler for the hatchback. These together are priced at £2,300.
The oval tailpipes turn round with an addition of titanium exhaust system. Akrapovic has developed an exhaust system for the Performance Pack. It comes with valve control technology which is adjusted inline with the driving modes. This is priced at £2,975.
There’s a ‘R-Performance’ brake system which shaves two kilograms off the weight compared to the standard brakes.
‘R-Performance’ brakes have built pin discs which is an aluminium brake pot with a cast steel friction ring connected to the brake pot via cast pins. Under stress it expands allowing continuity when breaking, especially when driven on a track.
The Performance Pack is available to order with the Golf R Hatchback and Estate now.
