Toyota announced its i-ROAD transport concept at Geneva 2013. Its a compact all electric three wheeler. Dubbed a “Personal Mobility Vehicle” of PMV for short, it incorporates a two seater cabin. The PMV has “Active Lean” technology that automatically balances the vehicle when cornering. Its as easy to manoeuvre as a scooter or motorcycle through traffic.
It has a range of 30 miles and can be charged in 3 hours from the mains. It sounds a better concept than Renaults Twizzy, as it has a fully enclosed cockpit which would allow for heating, lighting and a stereo, luxury!
Its only a concept at this stage, with no production plans.
