Most people who buy a new car want to keep it in showroom condition. You know what we mean; Getting into a car for the first time with that new car smell is always a pleasure, but imagine if you could live that way?
You can’t always rely on a car wash place to clean the interior of your car every time you have it done. Unless you pay a premium or you pay for the additional service, it’s often early the exterior of your car that gets a proper clean. It’s certainly worthwhile to make sure that you keep your car looking good, however, especially if you are going to be reselling it one day.
You want to enjoy your car more and be able to take true pride in the fact that you are protecting your investment. You can break out the Leather Honey Leather Care cleaner and clean your seats as you please, while knowing that your wet vacuum in the house is the perfect option for the carpets.
Here are some of the things that you can do to keep the interior of your car looking as good as it did the day you drove it off the forecourt.
- Make sure you have the right equipment. You may have noticed we mentioned a wet vacuum cleaner in the introduction just there, and that’s one of the main pieces of equipment you’d want to have if you are cleaning your car. The wet vacuum cleaner is going to really get into the crevices and the seats and the carpets in a way that a regular vacuum cleaner can’t. You can shampoo your carpets without having to add anything extra, and they come up looking new every time. You should also ensure that you have the correct cleaning fluids and materials for the specific fabrics and leather that you have.
- Clean weekly. If you want your car to look showroom ready every single time, then you need to be regular about your cleaning routine. Wiping down the vinyl or leather seating with the right cleaning product that’s recommended by your manufacturer should be done once a week at the very least. You can also clean out the door jambs and the door sills at the same time. A weekly clean allows you to keep on top of your car, and if you are doing it yourself you won’t have to pay a premium to have it done.
- Pay special attention to the dashboard. This is the most visible part of the car and it’s where you are looking most of the time. It makes total sense to keep this completely pristine. It’s your signature, and this is the area on which people will judge you the most. If you want to keep your dashboard looking great, make sure that you invest in a good son cover for the windscreen. The dashboard can get very pale very quickly and burn quite easily in the sunshine.
