SsangYong has announced that its new large SUV is to be called ‘Rexton’.

First shown as the LIV-2 concept at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, the Rexton takes a lot of inspiration from the original Rexton.

SsangYong will consider the Rexton as its flagship model.

The Rexton will come either in RWD or 4×4. SsangYong say the Rexton will be good to drive on and off-road and also be a great towing car.

The car will come with both petrol and economical diesel engines.

Inside is luxurious and refined with main features being Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity with device mirroring, wide 9.2-inch HD screen and 3D Around View Monitoring.

The Rexton will first go on sale in Korea in the next few months and is expected everywhere before the end of 2017.
