Well as we enter the final third of the year there is still plenty to keep us amused as Summer makes way for Autumn.
We start September at a familiar location, Goodwood for the Revival meeting on the weekend of the 11th to 13th. As always with this type of event expect an equal mix of phenomenal (ly expensive) machinery and plenty of well known drivers from the world of F1, WEC, Sportscars, Touring cars and more piloting them. If you’re not scouring the charity shops or the parents (your own?) wardrobe ITV4 should have coverage as will Goodwoods own website / YouTube channel if last year is anything to go by.
Fans of prototype racing will enjoy a bumper month with racing from 3 series to look forward to, The European Series heads to the south of France and Paul Ricard for the 4 hour event weekending the 6th while the World Endurance and TUSCC head to the Circuit of the America for the Lone Star Le Mans event a fortnight later with the US Series taking place of the Saturday. Motors TV will bring this to your television set.
GTs more your thing? Well while the ELMS teams are doing their thing in France the Blancpain GT Sprint series will be back on track following its mid-term break after Spa at Portugual on the 4-6th while the Endurance series makes its return at the Nurburgring a fortnight later, BT Sport and Motors will cover these for those of you not attending.
A little closer to home the British GT series prepares to wrap up for ’15 with a two hour finale at Donington Park on the weekend of the 12th and 13th. Motors TV and Channel 4 will keep you up to date.
Staying in this country for a moment, the BTCC continues it’s trek around the UK with a events at Rockingham (5th and 6th) and Silverstone (26th and 27th) as always point your armchair at ITV4 if you are not attending, or catch up with what happened here later!
Bikers also have plenty on offer this month, the BSB heads to Oulton Park on the 5th and 6th before crossing the water to Holland for the Assen round on the 19th and 20th, while the World sanctioned series will be entertaining fans at Jerez, Spain on the same weekend as the Assen round. Eurosport has this extravaganza covered. In between these the Moto GP squads head to Misano for the San Marino GP (11th-13th) and afterwards to Spain and Aragorn (25th-27th) BT Sport and ITV4 bring you this.
Still wanting some trackside action in this country? Well you could do worse than to try the World Series Renault championship as it runs into Silverstone on the weekend of the 5th and 6th of September for a mix of single seater and tin top action.
Rally fans don’t worry, plenty for you too this month, World Rally action heads to Australia from the 11th-13th with Motors TV and ITV4 providing the coverage, European action from Cyprus (25th-29th) and World Rally Cross action from France (4th) and Spain (18th) Eurosport bring these to your living room.
Plenty else this month as the World Touring Car Championship returns to Japan (13th Eurosport), NASCAR continues its epic trek around America (6th Darlington, 12th Richmond, 20th Chicagoland and 27th New Hampshire via Premier Sports) and V8 Supercars at Sandown on the 13th (Motors TV)
