Following the successful premiere of the one-off design study at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance earlier this summer, at an exclusive event ahead of the 2012 United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas, McLaren GT has confirmed plans for a limited production run of the track-focused 12C GT Can-Am Edition.

The car will feature:

  • Unrestricted 3.8 litre twin turbo engine
  • Unique engine calibration and optimised cooling
  • 630HP
  • Full FIA spec roll cage
  • Motorsport air conditioning system
  • Larges rear wing
  • Increased aerodynamic package creates 30% more downforce
  • Carbon door mirror mounts, covers engine cover vents and side intake canes, as well as sill covers and badges
  • Limited to 30 cars only
  • Costing £375,000
  • All will be built in Woking, commencing March 2013
