The hotly rumoured drop top baby Lambo has made an appearance at this years IAA, and theres not an awful lot to say about it.
Other than that it makes it’s Coupe sibling look a bit serious and old hat. There is something strange about a Lamborghini when it’s roof gets lopped off.
Especially in this new age of meticulously engineered raging bulls, the more leisurely nature of a convertible seems to increase modern Lambos desirability for desirabilities sake inexorably. The Huracan looks infinitely more stylish minus the tin top, even in this bright blue hue. It really does look stunning in profile.
The colour leaks in to the Spyders beautifully appointed interior too, with the light afforded by the open roof bestowing a more bespoke atmosphere on the cabin.
It goes without saying the four wheel drive, 5.2 litre V10 600 horsepower engine and dual clutch transmission carry over. The soft top can be erected electrically in 17 seconds at speeds of up to 31mph.
For the loss of the roof, performance suffers marginally with 0-62 being dispatched in 3.4 seconds before hitting a top speed of 201mph (just shy the the fastest Ferrari Spider at 202).
