Hyundai has revealed a refresh to its i30 including a brand new 183 bhp Tubo version that will go on sale early next year.
The top-of-the range Turbo receives a blown 1.6-litre petrol motor that pumps out 265nm of torque and will propel the i30 to 62 in 8.0seconds.
Underneath the Turbo has had its suspension fettled for a sportier feel and more direct steering from a shorter lock-to-lock ratio.
Only available on the five-door version the hot i30 comes with 18-inch alloys a redesigned grille, red details on the front and rear bumpers, twin exhausts and new LED light clusters.
Inside you’ll get sports front seats, sports instrument cluster and contrasting red details on the steering wheel, gear knob and door trims.
The Turbo arrives after a whole raft of updates for the i30, with a refreshed engine range Hyundai say increases both performance and efficiency.
The new range of Euro-6 compliant motors includes two diesel options in the guise of a 1.6-litre motor pumping out either 109 or 134bhp.
If you want petrol there’s a 1.4 litre motor that produces 99bhp or a non-turbocharged version of the 1.6 which will give out 118bhp.
Hyundai say the 1.4 will manage 50mpg and CO2 emissions of 129 g/km CO2 and the addition of such tech as start/stop can see it dip down below the zero-tax rate of 100g/km.
Outside the i30 has a had a bit of a midlife refresh, but a barely noticeable one, and the non-turbo range is on sale now.
