Hyundai have announced pricing and specification of the new i30 N hot hatch.
The i30 N is Hyundai’s first ever hot hatch and is built by Hyundai’s high performance vehicle division.
The ’N’ stands for Namyang – Hyundai’s global R&D Centre in Korea and Nurburgring, where Hyundai’s European Test Centre is based.
The i30 N features reinforced front suspension strut rings, strengthened front sub frame, central tunnel support bracket and a rear stiffness bar across the rear wheel arch lowers.
i30 N is limited to 155mph and can hit 62mph from standing in 6.1 seconds.
The 2.0 turbocharged inline 4 engine produces 271bhp and 353Nm of torque. It can also deliver an additional 25Nm of torque with its overboost function.
Hyundai i30 N will come with two trim levels, i30 N and i30 N Performance.
The i30 N starts from £24,995 and comes with a wrath of standard equipment including 18” alloys, electronic controlled suspension, LED head and tail lights, smart adaptive speed control, launch control, keyless entry with engine start/stop button, 8” touchscreen sat-nav with Android Auto and Apple Car Play.
i30 N Performance starts from £27,995 and comes with 19” alloys with Pirelli P-Zero tyres, additional 25PS of power, electronic limited slip differential and 18” ventilated front brake discs.
Inside, the i30 N Performance features leather and suede seats with electrical operation and an active variable exhaust system.
The i30 N is fitted with a bespoke instrument cluster with a 4.2” LCD displaying drive modes and vehicle control settings.
Hyundai i30 N will go on sale in the UK on 4th January 2018.
