Grand Cherokee range gets updated with new tech

Jeep are updating the MY16 Cherokee.

You will now get engine Start Stop with electric steering, this combo helps save 14 gram of CO2. Fuel economy on the diesel version also bumps up to 40.4 MPG.

There are also a few new colours to choose from, Velvet Red, Redline and Ivory Tri-Coat. Acoustic glass has also been used to help keep things quiet on the inside.

The interior gets a slight overhaul too, a new gear lever, revised centre console with Sport and Start/Stop buttons.

Up front you also get collision warning for the first time.

This updated model starts at £45,050 OTR for the 3.0 CRD Limited+, rising to £52,550 OTR for the 3.0 CRD Summit.

A 75th Anniversary model is also on the way, 125 units will be made available to the UK. It is based on the above revisions but with bronze detailing on the badges, alloys with a revised front design new LED fogs and the safety technology pack as standard.

It also featured the Quadra-Lift air suspensions, dual panoramic sunroof, 75th anniversary seat design with 1941 logos and matching tangerine stitching.

All are powered by the 3.0 litre V6 making 250HP, fitted to the 8 speed auto ‘box and the Quadra-Trac 4×4 system.
