Volvo have revealed pricing and spec details for their new XC40 urban SUV.
XC40 is Volvo’s first premium compact SUV and has been designed primarily for city driving.
At launch, three petrol and two diesel engines will be available. Power ranges from 150 to 250 hp. All engines are 2.0-litre, four-cylinder units: 156 hp T3, 190 hp T4 and 247 hp T5 petrol engines and 150 hp D3 and 190 hp D4 diesel engines.
The T3 comes with front-wheel drive and the D3 is offered with a choice of front or all-wheel-drive form.
Entry-level Momentum come with textile and vinyl interior upholstery, white and black alloys and option of a contrast-coloured white roof and door mirrors.
Momentum come with a generous amount of spec including Sensus 9″ touch screen with voice-activated control system, 12.3″ active TFT screen, dual-zone climate control with ‘CleanZone’ air-filtration system, LED headlights, rear parking sensors and 18” alloys.
R-Design feature a range of sporty touches that include a gloss black front grille and front and rear lower bumper sections, black roof and door mirrors, dual integrated exhaust pipes, uprated sports suspension and 18″ diamond cut/matt black alloy wheels.
Inside there’s leather/nubuck upholstery, perforated leather steering wheel and gear knob , front seat cushion extensions and aluminium dashboard inlays.
Standard spec for Inscription include power-operated tailgate, front parking sensors, leather-faced upholstery, powered driver’s seat, driftwood interior inlays and chrome exterior highlights.
Every XC40 is as a Pro form which adds even more additional spec.
Standard safety systems for the XC40 are automatic emergency braking system, oncoming lane mitigation and semi autonomous Pilot Assist.
The new Volvo XC40 is now available to order in the UK starting at £27,905 for the T3 Momentum. Deliveries are expected in early 2018.
