Vauxhall today fully revealed its upcoming full size convertible, it will place them into a sector it hasnt occupied since the 1930s!
Here is the meat of the release:
- New 1.6 Turbo engine (Vauxhall MGE – Mid-Size Gasoline Engine)170PS and 280Nm of torque
- 1.4 Turbo engine producing 140PS and 220NM with overboost
- 2.0 CDTi engine producing 165PS and 380Nm with overboost
- More powerful versions will be released in the future
- Seamless fabric roof – insulated with superior acoustics
- 17 seconds to retract the roof, at speed upto 30MPH
- HiPerStrut suspension taken from the VXR Insignia
- Very rigid body
- 4697mm long and 1840mm wide
- Front and Rear LED lights incl DRL’s
- 280 litres of boot space with the roof down, 350 with the roof up
- 50:50 split fold rear seats
- Electronic Parking brake standard across the range
- FlexRide chassis control as standard
- 18 – 202 wheels as options
- 326mm Discs up front and 325mm at the rear
- High strengh bars are pyrotechnically deployed in the event of a roll over
- Options include: Front Camera System, Traffic Sign Recognition, Lane Departure Warning, Following Distance Indication and Forward Collision Alert; rear-view camera; heated steering wheel; Hill Start Assist; Side Blind Spot Alert
