Today Renault have announced that the competition version of its new turbo powered hot hatch, is due to appear on our shores in 2014.

Here’s the news:

  • Lap times have been roughly 1 second a lap quicker than the outgoing NA 2.0-litre car
  • Engine tuned by Oreca Magny-Cours
  • 220bhp and 270Nm of torque
  • 6 speed gearbox with AP Racing clutch and limited slip diff
  • Paddle shift option available
  • 320mm, four piston AP Racing discs up front
  • One way adjustable dampers from ZF-Sachs
  • Data acquisition system is fully integrated with the dash TFT display
  • Rear wing offers 40kg of down-force at 125mph
  • 17″ Speedline Corse racing alloys
  • Released September 2013 priced from €37,800 excluding VAT
