Jaguar are to take on Audi at their own game – the fast estate.
At Geneva they shall be announcing the XFR-S Sportbrake, a Supercharged 5.0 litre V8 monster delivering 543 BHP and 680 Nm of torque.
0-60 is achievable in just 4.8 seconds, it will shoot onward to a limited top speed of 186 MPH!
Gear changes are handled by the 8 speed ZF gearbox found in the F-Type.
The XFR-S Sportbrake chassis, dampers and springs have all been tweaked, an electronic diff added, and the uprated DSC from the XFR-S saloon is transferred – meaning the sportbrake should be a pretty formidable weapon.
Externally the sportbrake gets a lot meaner, widened front air intakes the tell tale Jaguar bonnet louvres make an appearance, 20″ Varuna forged alloys finish the look.
The aerodynamic package isnt just for looks either, it helps reduce lift at higher speed. Whilst the Pirelli tyres have been specially created for the XFR-S Sportbrake.
Carbon fibre and leather can be found inside with contrasting ‘micro piping’ and stitching. Sound is catered for thanks to an 825w, 18 speaker Meridian setup as standard.
Combined fuel economy is a lowly 22.2 MPG – well what were you expecting?!
The Jaguar XFR-S Sportbrake priced at £82,495 in UK, with full 2015 MY XF range available to order from 01 April 2014.
