Motorsports Calendar 2017: June

Summer time, however a fairly lean calendar in comparison to some months, there’s plenty of action throughout the month. We start in the middle of the Irish Sea on a small island which magnetically attracts thrill seeking bikers.

Yes the Isle of Man TT takes place through the first two weeks of June, those not there can catch all the action nightly on ITV4.



Week ending 3rd – 4th June

Sports car fans are well catered for as Weathertech Sportscars head to the streets of Detroit – Motorsport TV and Radio Le Mans should bring action while the Blancpain Sprint series heads to Belgium, Zolder, BT and Motorsport ought bring some form of coverage.




Eurosport will have rally action from Greece as the Acropolis Rally is contested in the ERC championship.


Week ending 10th -11th June

Formula E heads back to Berlin Airport via Ch5 and Youtube, the UK LMP3 Cup takes a trip across the channel to Belgium, Spa, keep an eye on Motorsport TV for coverage, while the British GT series heads to Silverstone, Frontrunner TV bring pictures here.




The BTCC heads north to Croft for the halfway point here, ITV4 bring full coverage as always. While Motorsport, Radio Le Mans and official site streams bring the 24 hr series from the Red Bull Ring to your device.

Off the track the WRC heads to Sardinia. Channel 5, BT and Red Bull TV have this covered. While Trondheim (Hell) hosts the next installment of the of the FIA WRX with Motorsport and ITV4 covering this one.


Week ending 17th 18th June

There’s something happening in Northern France, yes, it’s that time of the year again. The Le Mans 24hr ¬†will take place on this weekend with coverage via Eurosport and various official on boards via the internet.




Elsewhere this weekend, the DTM championship heads to the Hungaroring (BT/ DTM website), the ERC travels to Cyprus (Eurosport) and the V8 Supercar championship heads to Darwin (BT / Motorsport).


Week ending 24th – 25th June



Another quietish weekend in comparison to the previous two, Paul Ricard hosts the Blancpain Endurance round (BT / Motorsports) while the WTCC heads to Portugal with coverage via Eurosport, while the British Rally Championship jumps the channel to compete in the Ypres Rally, Belgium (CH4 / BT).
