The second generation of the McLaren Super Series is set to revealed at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.

This second generation car will come with a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine which McLaren claim will do standing to 124mph in just 7.8 seconds.

The twin turbocharges fitted to the new M840T are ultra-low inertia, twin-scroll which spool up quicker which reduce turbo lag and quicken up throttle response.

McLaren have also paid attention to the exhaust note to match the increase of power. An optional sports exhaust is available.

Owners will have the option to add a cast-aluminium air intake plenum that has the McLaren Speedmark logo on top of the new V8 engine. The engine bay can also illuminate when the car is unlocked.

“The new 4.0-litre M840T is an outstanding engine powering an exceptional supercar capable of covering a standing quarter mile in 10.3 seconds. Power, torque and throttle response are all significantly enhanced compared to the first-generation Super Series, yet with fuel efficiency and emissions also notably improved,” said McLaren Super Series Vehicle Line Director, Haydn Baker.

The second generation of the McLaren Super Series will be confirmed with its debut at the Geneva Motor Show on 7th March.
