Volkswagen have provided a first look at their new premium saloon; the Artoen.
The first look comes three months ahead of its world premiere at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.
Volkswagen Artoen is brand new model and will sit above the Passat.
In the looks department, Volkswagen are introducing a horizontal “theme”. The bars of the radiator grille will extend into the 3D headlights and LED lighting also emphasise the bold layout.
The doors will have frameless windows to give it a look of a grand tourer. Volkswagen have also tried to blend practicality with their design by making the boot a top-hinged and wide-opening allowing optimum access to the huge boot.
“At first sight, the Arteon arouses enthusiasm through its expressive design. It then surprises through its practical virtues. This combination is unique,” said Tobias Sühlmann, Volkswagen’s Exterior Designer.
After its world premiere at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, the Volkswagen Artoen will be launched in Summer 2017.
