Lotus have unveiled the Exige Sport 380 and it’s the most hardcore Exige yet.
On the outside, the Exige Sport 380 has had an aerodynamic revamp, with the introduction of twin pairs of canard wings in front of the wheels, carbon rear wing and air blades behind the rear wheels. At top speed, the downforce created amounts to 140 kg.
The Exige Sport 380 will have 10 different paint finishes and can be coupled up with an optional exterior accent pack which is available in 5 different key colours.
There’s also other little improvements such as black headlamp surrounds and a black rear transom which has two lamp clusters instead of four.
Optional Track Pack specs Eibach adjustable front and rear anti-roll bars and Nitron two-way adjustable dampers.
Inside, the carbon fibre sports seats can be trimmed with Alcantara, leather or tartan and all will have contrast stitching.
A new integrated entertainment system can also be added which includes iPod connectivity, Bluetooth and air con. Optional Interior Colour Pack features contrasting surrounds to the transmission console, HVAC surround, carbon seat eyelets and electric window bezels.
The Exige Sport 380 has had a diet and weighs just 1,066 kg with lightweight options.
A 3.5-litre supercharged V6 engine provides 375 hp at 6,700 rpm and 302 pound-feet of torque at 5,000 rpm. 0-60mph can be achieved in 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of 178 mph.
Exige Sport 380 will come with a six-speed manual gearbox as standard. It can come with an optional six-speed automatic gearbox which can be fully automatic or the driver can engage with the aluminium flappy paddles. The automatic gearbox will be available in Spring 2017.
The Lotus Exige Sport 380 will be available as a roadster as standard priced from £67,900 and as a coupe as an option.
