Audi have just unleashed their latest pocket rocket, the Audi RS3.
It will launch from a standstill to 62 in just 4.1 seconds, hitting a top speed of 174 MPH.
The five cylinder 2.5 litre turbo charged TFSI engine produces 395 BHP and 480 NM of torque.
Interestingly the engine has been mounted transversely, the first saloon in the brands history a saloon has been rigged up like this.
Obviously it will sound like a caged wild animal, and can be set to such a mode via the Audi drive select. This will set the cars suspension and other bits to either Comfort, Auto and Dynamic.
Braking is handled by 370mm discs and eight piston calipers up front and 310mm ones at the rear. You can also spec carbon ceramics if you’re crazy, and made of money.
The whole car is 20mm wider, with flared front arches, at the back those rear wheels are 14mm further apart when compared to the standard car. 19 inch alloys come as standard.
No word on pricing or a release date yet.
