McLaren have expanded their brutal range of track weapons today with the 570S GT4 and Sprint models.
This time last year they were just a rumour and currently little more is known about them at this time. We shall update this post when we hear more….but they certainly look stunning in bare form.
Now the full press release has been outed we can confirm that the 570S GT4 is priced form £160k – that’s a bargain in race car money.
Black Bull Ecurie Ecosse will run one example of the 570S GT4 in the British GT championship this year. The car will be put through a gruelling 9 round season as part of its development phase. The first time it will turn a wheel in anger is this weekend at the Brands Hatch opener.
As for the car it features a full FIA roll cage, fire extinguisher system, re-profiled bodywork to give the 570S a wider front and rear track. Centre locking lightweight magnesium alloy wheels, two way adjustable dampers with coil-overs, an air jack system are also standard kit.
Meanwhile the bodywork gets some serious aero additions. A high level spoiler fixed on aluminium supports, a massive front splitter and re-profiled floor. Those front air ducts in the bonnet also allow air flow to the radiators.
The car is being jointly developed with the motorsport side of McLaren Automotive and CRS GT Limited.
