McLaren has chosen the 115th New York International Auto Show to launch the first model in it’s new Sports Series family.
The 570S Coupe, named after it’s 562 hp, will be a V8 powered, two-seater and will be unveiled at the show next week.
The introduction of the Sports Series family will broaden the brands offer to three model ranges, with the other two ranges being the P1 and the 650/675. As expected the 570S Coupe will be true to McLarens DNA and for the first time will bring McLarens race developed technologies to the road car segment.
The Sports Series family will help McLaren keep up the momentum it has built since it’s global launch in 2010, increasing worldwide sales year on year, ultimately reaching 1648 units sold in 2014.
McLaren is being very coy about releasing any real detail, assuring us that all will be revealed next week at their press conference in New York. Check back with us and we’ll keep you posted.
