The current Audi A6 has been with us for quite a while now, so Audi have decided it’s time for a refresh with styling tweaks and changes to the engine lineup.
Outside it is a refresh rather than a redo, the grille is now the standard hexagon shape while the headlights receive new forked LED inserts.
The front bumper now becomes more aggressive, in line with the RS versions while at the rear the 6 gains inbuilt trapezoidal exhausts.
The new A6 will also see Audi’s new trick dynamic indicators appear, which we like very much, and the LEDs front and rear can be upgraded to the latest LED.
Inside it is business as usual for the A6, except the infotainment system gets an update and the decor options are tweaked.
Safety syteams have been enhanced, with the night-vision options new including more features and Audi’s pre-sense package now becoming standard.
Under the bonnet the range of engines remains unchanged, but with power an efficiency increses, and consists of four and six cylinder single turbocharged TDI motors and a V6 biturbo.
Two new fuel efficient ‘Ultra’ models also arrive, featuring minor aerodynamic tweaks and a 4.4kg weight reduction.
The hybrid version will disappear from the UK but the S variants get upgraded 4.0litre V8 petrols pumping out 440bhp.
