As anyone who has seen cars with those weird eyelashes attached to the headlights will know cosmetics and motoring don’t always work together, but Citroen are hoping to buck that trend with these special editions inspired by Benefit makeup.
On sale now priced from £14,795 the DS3 by Benefit range launches with special editions of the DSign and DStyle versions of the hatch.
Outside you get specially matched paint schemes, the DSign matches the packaging to Benefit’s Benetint lipstick while the DStyle matches ‘They’re Real!’ Mascara.
This means the DSign is a fetching dark red with a white roof while the DStyle turns grey with an orange roof. Both get 17” black alloy wheels and dark tinted rear windows.
Inside Citroen say the DSign gains a white dash while the DStyle gets a black one. While they have not released pictures of this they have sent over some of the new floor mats, featuring coloured piping around the edge to match the paint job and the Benefit logo.
Both come with day-time running LED lights, air conditioning, a Connecting Box with Bluetooth and USB connectivity and Alcantara trim on the sports seats.
Under the bonnet the DSign comes with a 1.2litre VTi 82 engine which produces 82bhp and reaches 60 in a leisurely 14.2 seconds.
As for the DStyle that gets a 120bhp VTi120 motor, the 1.6 cuts the sprint to 60 down to 8.9 seconds and can propel the DS3 up to 114mph.
DSign and DStyle by Benefit are available from £14,795 and £16,795 respectively, a £2,000 premium over their standard versions, and come with a specially desiged make up bag that fits in the glovebox.
