Alfa Romeo have released the final specs and pricing of the 4C its new exclusive sports car.
It will be powered by a 1.7 litre 4 cylinder turbo charged engine, producing 240 HP and 350 Nm of torque. This lets the little Alfa rocket form 0-62 in 4.5 seconds, its top speed is 160 MPH.
Emissions are just 157 g/km, whilst its combined MPG is rated at 41.5.
Front wheels are either 17″ with 18″ upgrades available, at the back the rears are 18″ with 19″ upgrades. To keep weight down Alfa have shaved 15% off glass thickness, and used special Sheet Moulding Compound which is lighter than steel and aluminium for the 4C’s bodywork. The 4C weighs an astonishing 895 KG.
Weight distribution is set 40:60 front to rear, double wishbone suspension handles the road up front but the rear uses a performance tunes McPherson setup. The Alfa’s steering ratio is set to 16.2 and is unassisted.
Inside the 4C exposed carbon fibre can be seen. A multi function display replaces traditional dials. Paddle gear shifters are built-in behind the steering wheel linking the driver to the dual clutch TCT system.
Only 3,500 Alfa Romeo 4C’s will be built, deliveries will take place in late 2014 and one can be yours for £45,000. On sale now!
