Porsche are set to unveil its latest 911 Turbo Cabriolet at the LA Auto Show in November, it will be on sale in the UK from December.
There will be a choice of two models, the normal Turbo and the Turbo S. The first will pack the standard 3.8 litre six cylinder engine producing 520 HP, it will hit 62 MPH in 3.5 seconds. Whilst the S model will have 560 HP and will get from 0-62 in 3.2 seconds.
Both models are 15% more efficient than the previous version, they both have the PDK dual clutch gearbox. Wheel arches are 28mm wider than a Carrera 4, and the top retracts in just 12 seconds and at speeds up to 34 MPH. It also features the rear axle steering; up to 31mph the rear wheels steer in the opposite direction to the front pair to provide quicker responses and to make parking easier. Above 50mph the rear wheels turn parrallel to the front ones to improve high-speed stability.
Bose sound systems are fitted as standard, but for audiophiles a Burmester system is also available as an option. Further options include radar-controlled adaptive Cruise Control, camera-based road sign and speed limit recognition and a reversing camera.
The S-model boasts exclusive interior in Black/Carrera Red, adaptive Sport Seat Plus with 18-way adjustment and memory, seat backrests are leather-trimmed with double cap seams, various elements sport a carbon look.
Prices start from £126,766 for the Turbo; the Turbo S costs £149,511.
