Last week at Frankfurt Bentley launched an uprated Continental model. The GT V8 S is available in both Coupe and Convertible forms.
It has an uprated 4.0 litre twin turbo engine, now producing 521 BHP and 670 Nm of torque. An 8 speed ZF auto ‘box is linked with a 40:60 front rear bias all wheel drive system, allowing the GT V8 S sprint from 0-60 in 4.3 seconds. It will go on to a top speed of 192 MPH.
The convertible does similarly well with a 0-60 time of 4.5 seconds, both models can cover 500 miles on a single tank.
Ride height has been lowered 10mm, front and rear spring rates, bushes and the rear anti-roll bar have been stiffened. Bentley have also changed the damping, steering and ESC.
Gloss black aerodynamic lower body trim set the V8 S apart from the rest of the range, along with 20″ alloy wheels exclusive to this model. Red brake calipers and ‘V8 S’ front wing badges complete the sporty look.
Both Coupe and Convertible will be available from 2014. Pricing TBC.
